How marketplace fees and payment-support features work.

1. Homeowner residential pricing
There is currently no homeowner marketplace fee to view the preliminary residential estimate or request competitive residential bids. The homeowner remains responsible for payments owed under the final contract with the selected roofer.
2. Founding contractor fee
The first three roofing companies completing full approval and executing the founding-contractor agreement pay an 8% success fee on eligible awarded residential replacement projects.
3. Standard contractor fee
Residential contractors joining after the founding group pay a 10% success fee on eligible awarded residential replacement projects.
4. Fee trigger
The residential success fee is earned after the homeowner selects the contractor, the homeowner and contractor execute the roofing agreement, and the contractor receives the required project deposit.
5. Fee base
The fee is calculated from the original signed residential roofing contract amount for roofing-related work, subject to the executed contractor agreement.
6. Excluded amounts
Taxes, financing charges, and unrelated third-party services are excluded. Separately contracted solar detach-and-reset, HVAC, electrical, crane, or other trade services are excluded unless included directly in the roofing contractor’s signed scope.
7. Change orders and adjustments
Treatment of approved roofing change orders, supplements, cancellations, refunds, financing failure, material scope changes, duplicate payments, abandonment, and project adjustments is governed by the executed contractor agreement and applicable project records.
8. Payment processing
When available, homeowner deposits may be processed through a third-party provider and the selected contractor’s connected account. Processing fees, refunds, disputes, negative balances, settlement timing, and connected-account duties are governed by the provider’s terms and the applicable marketplace agreement.
9. Commercial and new-construction pricing
Commercial and professional new-construction projects may use administration fees, integrity deposits, funded bid stipends, fixed award fees, capped percentage fees, or other project-specific pricing. Any applicable charge is disclosed before contractors are invited.
10. Circumvention
Contractors and buyers may not use marketplace project information to complete the same or substantially similar transaction outside the platform for the purpose of avoiding an agreed fee.
11. Taxes and accounting
Each party is responsible for its own taxes, accounting, receipts, credits, and financial reporting. AZ Roof Estimator does not provide tax or accounting advice.
